Abdominoplasty or Tummy Tuck Surgery
Tummy tuck or abdominoplasty is a surgery for men to remove extra skin after a massive weight loss.
To be a good candidate for the abdominoplasty, the patient must be in is ideal weight range calculated by his body mass index.
The patient must be non-smoker for at least a year before the surgery.
At your first appointment, Dr Mario F. Bernier will perform a physical exam to evaluate patient’s physiology to know what the best technique is for him.
Image 1 represent the conventional technique for abdominoplasty, it consists in making an incision across the lower abdomen, and around the navel. To have a flat and tone stomach, Dr Bernier will tight the abdominal muscles with permanent sutures. The last step is to pull off the excess skin and remove it.
Image 2 illustrate the mini-abdominoplasty.In that case Dr Brenier will tight the abdominal muscles together and remove excess skin with a short incision without navel disinsertion.
