According to
le Collège des médecins du Québec, before-and-after
photos constitute testimonies of endorsement, and therefore are
in violation of article 2.02.07 of the physician's code of ethics.
2.02.07 A physician may convey factual, exact and verifiable information
through any public medium, provided that the information
1. contains no comparative or superlative statement regarding the
quality of the products, professionals or services referred to
in the information; and
2. contains no expression of support or gratitude concerning that
physician or his/her professional practice.
